Course Description
This Category 2 workshop is designed for experienced DP Visual Arts teachers looking to refine their understanding and implementation of the course. The workshop provides a platform to explore effective teaching strategies, internal and external assessment requirements, and the development of student portfolios. Educators will reflect on their current practices, engage with peers to share ideas, and deepen their understanding of how to guide students in developing their artistic voice while meeting IB expectations.
Learning Outcome
Apply a deeper understanding of the DP Visual Arts guide to their planning and teaching.
Analyze and evaluate student work using IB assessment criteria with greater confidence and consistency.
Strengthen their approach to facilitating the Comparative Study, Process Portfolio, and Exhibition.
- Enhance strategies to support student creativity, inquiry, and reflection throughout the course.
Target Audience
This workshop is intended for DP Visual Arts teachers who have previously taught the course and are looking to enhance their pedagogical and assessment practices in line with IB standards.
