The Safer Recruitment workshop introduces staff to the principles and scope of safer recruitment. Staff will explore the history and context of safer recruitment in international schools. They will also explore the requirements of the recruitment process and compliance with organizational policy and international best practice. The workshop will support staff with preparing for interviews, pre-employment, background checks and requesting and analyzing references. In addition, it will explore how school culture, induction and ongoing management of low-level concerns can help support safer practices with existing staff. The workshop is interactive, and case-study driven to help reinforce staff learning.
