This workshop provides PYP educators and coordinators with in-depth training on effective moderation and calibration strategies for internal assessments. Participants will learn how to ensure consistency and fairness in teacher-assessed student work by engaging in collaborative moderation processes and aligning grading standards across classrooms. The session includes hands-on calibration exercises, scoring sample student work, and analyzing discrepancies to refine teachers’ judgments. Aligning with PYP assessment philosophy and IB principles, the workshop enables schools to build robust, equitable assessment practices that enhance validity and reliability.
