DP | Cat 3 | Mathematics: A focus on internal assessment

Course Description

This Category 3 workshop is designed to deepen educators’ understanding of the internal assessment (IA) component in DP Mathematics. Participants will explore best practices for guiding students through the exploration process, review assessment criteria in depth, and analyze samples of student work to ensure consistency in grading. The workshop offers strategies for structuring the IA process, promoting academic integrity, and providing effective formative feedback. It is intended to enhance the quality and consistency of internal assessment practices in mathematics classrooms.

  2.  Interpret and apply the internal assessment criteria accurately and consistently.
