Course Description
This workshop is designed for educators new to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) mathematics framework. It focuses on aligning teaching practices with IB philosophy and objectives, developing a collaborative approach to curriculum planning, and creating student-centered learning environments. Participants will gain an understanding of the MYP mathematics framework, including its structure and principles, and learn to design effective teaching and assessment strategies. By the end of the workshop, educators will be equipped to implement a coherent and challenging mathematics programme that fosters inquiry and critical thinking
Learning Outcome
Align educational beliefs and values with those of the IB in order to create a challenging programme of international education.
Begin to develop a collaborative and collegial approach to aligning your practices with the structures and principles of the IB mathematics group aims and objectives.
Develop an understanding of the structures and principles of the matematics framework and guidelines towards the construction of a coherent curriculum.
Prepare learning, teaching and assessment strategies that will support the implementation of the matehematics framework and guidelines

Target Audience
Middle Years Programme (MYP) mathematics teachers new to the MYP at established IB World Schools and teachers from interested or candidate schools.
