Course Description
Participants will explore how to align their teaching with IB standards and practices while deepening their use of concepts, global contexts, and approaches to learning (ATL) skills. The workshop offers opportunities to evaluate and enhance assessment tasks, create more inclusive learning experiences, and strengthen the design of innovative, student-centered environments. Through collegial collaboration, educators will share strategies to improve accessibility, engagement, and rigour across the subject.
Learning Outcome
Align teaching practices with IB standards, subject group aims, and conceptual learning
Evaluate and enhance assessment tasks to ensure rigor, relevance, and student engagement
Develop inclusive strategies to make language and literature content more accessible to diverse learners
Strengthen collaboration and innovation within student-centered classroom environments
Target Audience
Middle Years Programme (MYP) English Language and Litertature teachers with some experience delivering the MYP in their specific subject. In order to actively participate and collaborate, all category 2 participants are encouraged to have previously created, taught, and assessed at least one MYP unit.
