Course Description
This workshop empowers school leaders to prioritize and lead well-being across the school community. Through a reflective and evidence-informed approach, participants explore how well-being is embedded in school culture, curriculum, and policy. The workshop helps leaders identify the needs of students and staff and implement sustainable practices that nurture positive relationships, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Participants will also examine how schoolwide well-being supports learning, inclusion, and whole-school development.
Learning Outcome
Develop a shared understanding of well-being in education aligned with IB philosophy and values.
Explore practical strategies to foster a school culture that promotes mental, emotional, and social well-being.
Analyze the connection between well-being, learning, and academic achievement.
Identify their role as leaders in modeling, promoting, and sustaining well-being initiatives.
Reflect on how to engage staff, students, and families in a collaborative and inclusive approach to well-being
Create an actionable plan to integrate well-being into policies, practices, and the learning environment.
Target Audience
This workshop is designed for school leaders, coordinators, and leadership team members across IB World Schools who are responsible for developing or supporting well-being initiatives within their communities.
