Meet our Trainer:

I am originally from Colombia, and currently live and work in Doha, Qatar. With a strong passion for arts and education, I have been part of the IB world for several years, serving in various roles that have allowed me to support students and educators in developing their creative and critical thinking skills. As an IB Educator Network (IBEN) member, I have participated in multiple school authorization and evaluation visits, contributing to the growth of IB programs worldwide and supporting schools in implementing best practices.

I hold a background in Visual Arts and Photography, and two Masters Degrees in Artistic education and Management in education. Throughout my career, I have taken on multiple roles within IB education, including Visual Arts examiner (not currently) and workshop leader. My experience spans teaching and leadership positions in IB MYP and DP Visual Arts, curriculum coordination, and school leadership, fostering holistic learning environments that emphasize inquiry, creativity, and cultural awareness.

Currently, I am the Subject Leader for Visual Arts at the International School of London Qatar, where I lead a dynamic team across PYP, MYP, and DP. I am committed to nurturing artistic expression and conceptual thinking, ensuring that students engage meaningfully with personal and cultural narratives through their art.

Beyond my professional life, I am a firm believer in lifelong learning, international-mindedness, and community-driven artistic engagement. I enjoy working on exhibitions, artistic collaborations, and expanding opportunities for students to showcase their work beyond the classroom. On a personal note, I am the proud father of my six-year-old son, Dali, whose curiosity and creativity inspire me daily.
