Session Dates
- Session 1 - 14/10/2025
- Session 2 - 21/10/2025
Course Description
This interactive workshop is designed to deepen educators’ understanding and practical implementation of Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills within the Middle Years Programme. ATL skills are central to helping students become self-regulated, resilient, and lifelong learners. Participants will explore how to purposefully embed ATL skill development—thinking, communication, research, social, and self-management—into unit planning, teaching practices, and assessment.
Through collaborative tasks, case studies, and reflective exercises, participants will connect ATL skill instruction to the MYP framework, including its conceptual, inquiry-based, and interdisciplinary components. The session will also examine strategies to assess ATL skill development and track student growth in meaningful and consistent ways.
