Course Description

“The primary aim of IB programme evaluation is to help schools develop their capacity to implement IB programmes to have a greater impact on student outcomes through the development of teacher and leader practice.”

Learning Outcome

“In this workshop, participants will:

engage with each component of the programme evaluation process: preliminary review, self-study, school visit, final report, and how it all connects to lead to an impact on student learning through a programme development plan
reflect upon how this process supports schools as learning communities to work intentionally to continuously develop their IB programmes and enable school leaders and teachers to better direct their efforts and resources
come away with strategies to communicate understandings in their own school context.”

Course Includes

Iman is an IB educator with nearly thirty years of experience in international education, working across the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programmes. Her professional practice is deeply rooted in supporting meaningful, concept-based learning and in strengthening coherence across the IB continuum to ensure a holistic and seamless student experience. She has served the IB in multiple capacities, including MYP workshop leader, MYP reader, MYP evaluation leader, MYP consultant, chair of synchronized and multi – programme visits, MYP programme leader, MYP curriculum developer, and contributor to teacher support materials. She holds a Master’s degree in International Education, with a research focus on conceptual understanding. In recent years, she has coached MYP programme roles and participated in MYP enhancement studies and preparations. She is also an experienced Design teacher in both the MYP and DP. Beyond school-based practice, she served for two consecutive years as Deputy Chair of the Jordan Association for IB World Schools, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional learning and collaborative leadership.
