An experienced university college counsellor (UCC) and careers guidance specialist, Chris has played a key role in shaping and strengthening careers and university guidance provision in both newly and well-established international schools offering IB, Ap and national programmes. At The British International School of Budapest, Chris was instrumental in designing and implementing a comprehensive careers and university guidance model, helping to embed best practice, clear pathways, and a student-centred approach from the school’s early development. At ACS Hillingdon International School, Chris contributed to the continued evolution of an already strong guidance programme, enhancing systems, resources, and strategic support for students navigating competitive global university admissions.
Alongside school-based leadership, and being an IB Senior Consultant Chris is an experienced IB Diploma Programme workshop leader in Counselling Categories 1, 2, and 3, as well as Supporting University Admissions Category 3. Through this work, and work he undertakes with schools, Chris has supported educators and counsellors internationally in establishing school counselling models, developing effective guidance frameworks, ethical admissions practices, and reflective professional practice within the international community.
Committed to holistic student development, and through opportunities to lead workshops on IB UCC, Chris champions informed decision-making, UCC in-school visibility, equitable access to higher education, and meaningful collaboration between schools, families, and universities worldwide.
