Course Description
This workshop will explore the targets of MYP assessment strategies in your subject areas and apply your knowledge of the holistic MYP framework.
Learning Outcomes
This workshop will enable you to build successful assessment practices using your subject-specific objectives and assessment criteria. You will gain hands-on experience with the development of concept-driven assessments and consider new models of optional external assessment for the MYP.

School leaders, Middle Years Programme (MYP) coordinators and lead teachers in subject groups who want to deepen their understanding of the MYP assessment model.

Dr. Kate Beatty is an international educator, instructional leadership researcher, and educational consultant with more than 35 years of experience in international education. She has served in a number of teaching, leadership and consultant roles, supporting schools globally.
Kate is an experienced MYP Language and Literature educator, workshop leader and author of educational materials, with over 20 years of experience teaching and leading the subject in diverse international contexts. She is an IBEN Senior Lead Educator, Team Chair, Field Representative, Evaluation and Programme Leader, and consultant who has supported numerous schools through candidacy, authorization, and evaluation processes.
Kate holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She is the author of doctoral research examining instructional leadership and programme leadership within the IB Middle Years Programme, with a particular focus on programme implementation, school improvement, and leadership development in international schools.
