Universal Design for Learning (UDL): A Creative Way of Rethinking Education
Course Description
Co-developed by the Education Development Institute (EDI) and StepTogether, this 2-hour asynchronous course reflects a shared commitment to inclusive and future-focused education.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a creative and practical framework that shifts us from teaching to the “average” learner toward designing for human variability—recognizing that diversity is the rule, not the exception in our classrooms.
Imagine a classroom where every learner feels seen, supported, and successful. In this course, you will explore how to proactively remove barriers to learning and apply the three core principles of UDL—Engagement, Representation, and Action & Expression to your own teaching context.
Watch the short introductory conversation below with Dr. Rim Mouawad from StepTogether.org on the importance of inclusive and future-focused learning through UDL.
