Course Description

This 90-minute instructor training introduces participants to the essential features of Turnitin Feedback Studio (TFS). Through hands-on walkthroughs and guided practice, participants will explore how to create classes, manage assignments, interpret similarity and AI reports, and use feedback tools to enhance student learning. The session supports instructors in promoting academic integrity and delivering effective, actionable feedback through Turnitin’s digital environment.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Navigate and use core features of Turnitin Feedback Studio, including creating classes, adding students, and managing assignments.

  2. Interpret similarity reports using filters and exclusions for both formative and investigative purposes.

  3. Utilize TFS feedback tools such as QuickMarks, bubble comments, inline comments, rubrics, and summary feedback options.

  4. Apply AI detection results (if available) appropriately and understand their role in academic integrity workflows.

  5. Promote quality feedback and student engagement using TFS to support effective virtual interaction.

  6. Adopt best practices for using Turnitin efficiently to improve the quality of student submissions and reduce risks of academic misconduct.
